OptiRTP CEO Jon Doherty and Partnerships and Performance Manager Byron Thomas attended the Unlocking Business Potential with Japan seminar in Auckland, engaging with leaders across government, investment and business focused on strengthening New Zealand–Japan economic ties.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Japan in New Zealand and the Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland, facilitated by Baker Tilly Staples Rodway. Ambassador Makoto Osawa delivered an address emphasizing the importance of deeper collaboration between the two countries.

The program featured speakers covering investment, innovation and operating in Japan. David Mair of Sanford presented on the Japanese concept of Kaizen and its application to business relationships, with a focus on trust and integrity as foundations for doing business in Japan.

As OptiRTP builds its U.S. commercial operations, Japan’s leadership in healthy aging, elder care and rehabilitation medicine represents one of the strongest international alignments for the company’s neuromodulation platform. OptiRTP is building relationships in Japan ahead of future market engagement.

OptiRTP attended with the support of Mio Otashiro, Deputy Consul General, Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland, who continues to provide introductions as the company develops its presence in the region.
