OptiRTP Attends AmCham “Doing Business in the USA” Workshop as Part of U.S. Expansion Preparation

EY presentation at the 2026 Auckland Doing Business with the USA workshop

EY presentation at the AmCham New Zealand Doing Business in the USA workshop highlighted key tax and transfer pricing considerations for New Zealand companies expanding into the U.S.

OptiRTP attended the annual Doing Business in the USA workshop hosted by AmCham New Zealand. The event was sponsored by EMA, ExportNZ and Norris Echetebu Law.

The workshop featured a line-up of speakers from both New Zealand and the United States, providing practical insights for companies at various stages of their U.S. journey—from those exploring initial market entry through to businesses already operating in the American market.

Sessions covered a range of topics relevant to U.S. expansion, including visa pathways, legal and corporate structures, insurance considerations, intellectual property protection, financing growth and expansion, tax frameworks, and perspectives from business leaders already exporting into the United States.

During the workshop, EY provided insights into the tax and transfer pricing implications for New Zealand companies doing business in the United States, noting that the U.S. tax environment is increasingly diverging from international norms and often requires a bespoke approach.

The United States represents one of the world’s largest—and most complex—healthcare markets. OptiRTP will continue engaging with industry events of this kind as part of its structured preparation for U.S. market entry.
