From Compassion to Global Impact
The story begins more than a decade ago with our Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Bogdan Anich.
When his father faced a serious health crisis and conventional medicine had no more answers, Bogdan turned to what he knew best — physics, systems engineering, and signal design. What started as a desperate act of compassion to help one person became the spark for a decade of research, engineering, and real-world testing.
Over time, those early experiments evolved into what is now known as Optimum Bio Sound Therapy (OBST) — a sound-based digital therapeutic that supports the body’s natural regulatory systems.
OBST is now registered with the U.S. FDA and NZ Medsafe as a Class I medical device designed to support pain management — a technology born from care, developed through rigorous science, and refined through real-world use.
Leadership with Purpose
When Jon Doherty, now OptiRTP’s Chief Executive Officer, first encountered OBST, it wasn’t through a business meeting — it was through family. In 2017, while looking for ways to ease his father’s pain during terminal cancer, Jon was introduced to Bogdan’s early work. The therapy helped reduce his father’s pain, lessen the need for heavy medication, and restore precious quality time with loved ones.
That experience changed Jon’s life — and his leadership. It gave him a deep understanding of what this technology can mean for people in need, and it’s that same sense of purpose that drives the company today as it prepares to scale globally.
Together, Bogdan and Jon lead a team that spans science, medicine, performance, and technology — a purpose-driven group united by a single belief: that healthcare can be both accessible and profoundly human.

Where We’re Headed
OptiRTP is currently available in New Zealand and the United States, with planned expansion into Japan — building a global ecosystem of subscribers, research partners, and healthcare professionals.
We are committed to ongoing research and clinical validation. A comprehensive 12-week real-world outcomes study is planned in collaboration with Lindus Health and a physiological monitoring technology partner to evaluate subscriber experiences with OBST. The study will assess improvements across multiple validated health domains—including sleep quality, fatigue, pain management, stress levels, and autonomic nervous system balance—using PROMIS assessment tools and objective biometric monitoring. Additionally, the study will track healthcare utilisation patterns and medication usage trends to support future reimbursement pathways.
We are also developing a next-generation delivery system to make OBST accessible at global scale while maintaining medical-grade precision and regulatory compliance.
