About Us

From Compassion to Global Impact

The story begins more than a decade ago with our Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Bogdan Anich.

When his father faced a serious health crisis and conventional medicine had no more answers, Bogdan turned to what he knew best — physics, systems engineering, and signal design. What started as a desperate act of compassion to help one person became the spark for a decade of research, engineering, and real-world testing.

Over time, those early experiments evolved into what is now known as Optimum Bio Sound Therapy (OBST) — a sound-based digital therapeutic that supports the body’s natural regulatory systems.

OBST is now FDA- and Medsafe-registered as a Class I medical device indicated for pain management, recovery, and wound healing — a technology born from care, built through science, and guided by purpose.

Leadership with Purpose

When Jon Doherty, now OptiRTP’s Chief Executive Officer, first encountered OBST, it wasn’t through a business meeting — it was through family. In 2017, while looking for ways to ease his father’s pain during terminal cancer, Jon was introduced to Bogdan’s early work. The therapy helped reduce his father’s pain, lessen the need for heavy medication, and restore precious quality time with loved ones.

That experience changed Jon’s life — and his leadership. It gave him a deep understanding of what this technology can mean for people in need, and it’s that same sense of purpose that drives the company today as it prepares to scale globally.

Together, Bogdan and Jon lead a team that spans science, medicine, performance, and technology — a purpose-driven group united by a single belief: that healthcare can be both accessible and profoundly human.

Who We Are

We are engineers, scientists, clinicians, and performance specialists — but above all, we are people who care deeply about improving lives. We believe in evidence-based innovation, not hype. We believe technology should fit quietly into daily life, not disrupt it. We believe affordable, scalable healthcare is both a moral and scientific responsibility.

From our roots in New Zealand’s high-performance sport community to our partnerships with medical researchers and global advisors, every member of our team shares one purpose: to help people recover better, live better, and feel more in control of their health.

Where We’re Headed

OptiRTP is preparing for U.S. market entry in 2026, followed by expansion into Japan — building a global ecosystem of users, practitioners, and partners.

In 2026, an independent university-led study involving a veteran population will explore OBST’s potential role in supporting individuals experiencing phantom limb pain (PLP). The study is not sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs but includes a principal investigator affiliated with the VA system. It represents the next phase of our evidence development program, aligned with OptiRTP’s future Class II reclassification pathway.

We are also developing a next-generation delivery system to make OBST accessible at global scale while maintaining medical-grade precision and compliance.

Our end in mind is simple yet ambitious:
To bring affordable, evidence-based healthcare to the world — so that what began as a son’s act of compassion can one day help millions.
