OptiRTP Attends Nisuikai Event on Japan–New Zealand Economic Diplomacy

OptiRTP CEO Jon Doherty attended the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Auckland (Nisuikai) event held on 21 October, 2025, as the company continues building connections ahead of its planned Japan market entry from 2027.

The event, held at Auckland Business Chamber, featured Ambassador Makoto Osawa (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to New Zealand) speaking on Japan–New Zealand economic diplomacy.

Jon Doherty has prior experience in Japan, having served as CEO of Tokyo-based Daijob, Inc from 2002 to 2006. OptiRTP’s Japan preparation includes support from Sarah Hirini MNZM, captain of the New Zealand Women’s Rugby Sevens team and three-time Olympic medalist.

OptiRTP has identified Japan’s focus on active aging and quality of life improvement as aligned with its therapeutic platform’s applications.
